Hakuna Matata means No Worries !! :)
Today morning i read this quote by Heinrich Harrer
“We have a saying in Tibet: If a problem can be solved there is no use worrying about it. If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.”
Change is the only constant in life. There will be days when things won't happen according to your plan but you cannot do anything about it. So stop worrying.
Worrying can only give you wrinkles and i am sure nobody wants to buy those anti-wrinkle cream anytime soon.
I would like to share one small incident.
2-3 years back when i was at home , my neighborhood aunty gave us a visit. She was giving me the example of some girl who topped her college and she said i should also become like her and make my parents proud. I wondered why do i need to become like anyone . I will claim what's mine. I can make my parents proud without even topping the college.
This pressure of Society has killed many talents.
Don't crave for another person's talent or talents. We cannot all be film stars , Models or star-cricketers . Don't fix your gaze on the impossible. Closer to yourself, you will discover your own innate talents, celebrate life by developing the latent or talents you have. the invitation is open to all , however deficient we may seem to be.
Change is always difficult for anyone, and changing oneself is probably one of the hardest and most daunting challenges we can take on. Yet it is also one of the most rewarding and powerful moment there in life; to be able to look back at an earlier version of yourself, and smile wide at the unfathomable distance you've come on the never ending journey to a better and happier you.
No matter where we come from or what we have faced , we all have the innate ability as humans to evolve and reinvent ourselves every minute of every day.
Often when goals are realized,we are not happy. Story goes that a person was trying to climb to the top of a mountain when his friend with a helicopter appeared. He tried to persuade his friend to hop into the helicopter to cut short the journey but the climber declined. Because happiness is not only in reaching the top but also in the adventure of undertaking the journey to reach the goal that seems to leave a permanent sense of accomplishment on your mind. Hence , focus on the journey rather than on the destination.
Be happy on the way.
Be happy anyway.
Never too old, never too bad
Never too late, never too sick
to start from scratch once again.
"Be Somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody"
Hakuna Matata. !!!

ReplyDeleteI used to fear change because I’ve always seen it as something disruptive. We may not believe it right now, but change may make us better versions of ourselves.
You always do the needful.
Love PP . :-)
A very boosting blog. In an era, where humans are fast turning into machines, and depression is rampant, this way of thinking can provide a new lease of life.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, focus should be on the journey, rather than destination.
Hearing this from majority of us sounds like contradiction falling off their mouths. But hey this is you, The Prerna Prakash, someone who actually follows the concept of Hanuka Matata so very religiously!
